Speciality Areas
A. International Trade
1. To provide legal advices and opinions in relation to International Trade;
2. To act as standing legal consultant for enterprises in relation to International Trade;
3. To represent clients in the litigation, arbitration or ADR concerning
--negotiation, performance, breach and disputes of Sales of Goods Contract;
--payment of International Trade, such L/C, D/A, D/P, T/T etc.;
--products transportation, including carriage of goods by sea, by air, by train and by international multi-mode transport;
--products responsibility and insurance;
-other domestic, international arbitration and litigation.
B. Maritime/Admiralty
1. To provide legal advices and opinions in relation to Maritime/Admiralty;
2. To act as standing legal consultant for enterprises in relation to Maritime/Admiralty;
3. To represent clients in the litigation, arbitration or ADR arising from contracts concerning carriage of goods by sea, chartering, insurance, marine agency, freight forwarding, harbor operation, sales and purchases of ships, crew employment, salvage of ships;
4. To represent clients in the litigation, arbitration or ADR concerning collision, general average, marine pollution, damages to person and property at sea;
5. To represent clients in matters of maritime claim and its security, maritime injunction, preservation of evidence, security in maritime proceedings, limitation of liability, claim or made good of credit and priority claim.
C. Foreign Direct Investment
1. To provide professional legal advice on foreign direct investment including the investment form, the equity structure, capital contribution, foreign exchange, land usage, technology transfer, equity transfer, tax, customs, patent and trade market license, intellectual property protection, labor management, etc;
2. To act as standing legal consultant for Foreign-invested enterprises;
3. To attend the commercial and legal negotiations with the relevant parties at any stage of the investment for the clients;
4. To draft and revise foreign direct investment documents including investment intent, joint venture contract, the article of association, land use contract, technology transfer agreement, the licenses of patent and trade mark, board resolutions, sale and purchase contract, and employment contract;
5. To assist the clients obtaining the government approvals, licence or permits in relation to investment projects;
6. To provide efficient and quality English and Chinese translations of the investment documents.
